5 foreign, a local LeT militants involved in civilian killing in Bandipora identified: police

Srinagar: Security forces have launched a massive hunt to nab five foreign and a local militants responsible for the killing of a civilian and causing injuries to three of his family members in north Kashmir district of Bandipora on Tuesday, a police spokesman said here.
'We have identified all the six militants involved in the abduction and later killing of a civilian Muntazir Ahmad Parry and injuring his mother-in-law and two of her children,' he said.
 
He said a case has already been registered a massive hunt has been launched to nab the foreign militants of Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) identified as Abu Muslim, Hubaib, Khalid, Abu Hamza and Haider. A local militant Mohammad Saleem Parray has also played a major role in the kidnapping and killing of Muntazir, he added.
 
He said late Monday night at about 2210 hrs, four militants barged into the house Farooq Ahmad Parray at Par Mohalla at Hajin in Bandipora district. Militants fired indiscriminately inside the house, the spokesman said, adding that when the inmates raised an alarm, militants also attacked them with sharp edged weapons.
 
The wife of house owner Rafeeqa, daughter Neelofar and son Hilal Ahmad Parray, were injured in the attack, while the son-in-law of the house owner Muntazir was abducted. The body was Muntazir was later recovered late Tuesday afternoon, he said.
 
He said one son of house owner Farooq namely Muzzafar Ahmad Parrey alias Muzz Nata was killed ruthlessly by militants last summer. (UNI)
