6 killed, 35 injured after Farakka Express derails in Rae Bareli

Rae Bareli: At least six people were killed and 35 others injured after 14003 Farakka Express derailed in this district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday.
Five front coaches along with engine derailed on the outer of Harchandpur station on the Lucknow-Rae Bareli rail section, about 65 kilometres from the state capital, at around 0630 hrs.
Confirming the number of casualties, UP DGP O P Singh said five bodies have been sent to hospital and another is still inside the derailed coach.
 
The DGP said that the injured have been rushed to the hospital in Rae Bareli and Lucknow.
The deceased included two children, a male and a female. Around six passengers are critically injured.Two teams of NDRF have been rushed to the spot while railways has sent a relief and rescue team.
 
Senior railway and police officials have rushed to the spot.UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  has directed the officials to provide all relief and medical facilities to the affected.(UNI)
