BJP chief whip Virendra Singh Sirohi passes away

Bulandshahr:BJP MLA from Sadar seat in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr and party's chief whip Virendra Singh Sirohi, passed away at a hospital in New Delhi on Monday morning. 
The 74-year-old BJP leader was admitted to a private hospital in Delhi on February 8 last die to liver ailment.
     
A legislator for couple of time from different seats in Bulandshahr, Mr Sirohi was the chief whip of the ruling BJP in the state assembly. He was also a former minister in the previous BJP government. 
    
The body of the leader would be brought here st his Preet Vihar colony residence at around 1000 hrs.
   
Meanwhile, chief minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the death of the BJP leader.
  
"Mr Sirohi was a popular leader in Bulandshahr and had contributed a lot for the development of the region," CM said.
   
Yogi Adityanath is on his way to Bulandshahr today to pay his last respect to the leader. He also talked to the son of the leader on phone after hearing his death.
  
UP BJP president Swantra Deo Singh along with other party leaders including party general secretary Vijay Bahadur Pathak have expressed their grief over the sudden demise of the party leader.(UNI)
