New Delhi:Having won as many as 11 seats out of 14 in the Lok Sabha elections just a few months back, the BJP is facing tough contest from the rivals Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Congress alliance in Jharkhand polls where counting of votes was taken up on Monday.
While the BJP is set to emerge as the single largest party leading in 30-32 seats in the 81-member assembly, but it may miss the magic mark as the JMM and Congress could manage 34 to 38 seats.

As per Election Commission data, the RJD was leading in five seats and smaller parties AJSU and BSP leading in two each.

RJD leader Tejaswai Yadav exuded confidence on Monday morning that the JMM-Congress and RJD alliance will manage a clean sweep and JMM leader Hemant Soren will be the new Chief Minister of the state.

However, BJP sources have said that the saffron party is open to explore the possibility of post poll alliance with smaller parties.(UNI)
