BJP to contest 117 assembly seats in Punjab polls 2022

Chandigarh: In order to prepare for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections, the BJP leadership met here on Friday to strategy under the leadership of National Organisational Secretary BL Santosh.
An optimistic sounding Santosh said that the party will contest 117 seats and claimed that it would form the next government in 2022 here at the party headquarters.
Claiming that the BJP was the biggest organisation and had the vision and commitmentto further the interests the country, he said that "we will dispense justice to Punjab."
The Vice President of the party Sodan Singh, while addressing the meeting of party men said that Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had failed miserably in governance and was responsible for the "rampant corruption."
The State President Ashwani Sharma promised to address the power crisis and ensure affordable electricity to the citizens of the state, he said "power, health, and schools" will be our mission."People are facing dire consequences due to the huge economic burden of expensive electricity bills" said Sharma.
The other senior leader Mr Dushyant Gautam, MP said that the BJP workers have worked to give relief to the people in during the corona pandemic and the people of the state are understand that only BJP will and can keep the interests of the people primary.
The meeting was attended by Mr Narinder Singh co-incharge of BJP Punjab, Mr Jeevan Gupta State General Secretary, Dr Subhash Sharma State General Secretary.
Notably,Anguished over the passing of Farm Bills in Parliament, the Shiromani Akali Dal on Saturday pulled out itself from the Bharatiya Janata Party led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in September 2020 even before the nationwide protest against these bills broke out.
On September 17, Union Minister of Food Processing Industries Harsimrat Kaur Badal, expressing her resentment, resigned from the Union Cabinet. She said she was “proud to stand with farmers as their daughter & sister”.Shiromani Akali Dal was the oldest ally of the BJP in NDA.
After this declaration it is clear that BJP will go solo in Punjab polls 2022 now the million-dollar question is the CM face, Will BJP stuck to the old strategy of going in elections without CM face or inducts a popular CM face for the next year. (UNI)
