Bombay HC refuses interim bail to Arnab Goswami

Mumbai:The Bombay High Court on Monday refused to grant an interim bail to Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami.

Bench clarified that the accused (Goswami) can approach the Sessions Court and the concerned court will decide the application in the time limit specified (4 days).

Goswami was arrested by the Mumbai Police from his residence, here, in a two-year-old suicide case of an interior designer and sent to 14 days of judicial custody by a local court.

The Bench further said that it shall be not be construed as an impediment to the accused to approach the Sessions Court under Section 439 of CrPC.(UNI)
