Congress culture of rewarding those doing nothing, hopefully will change: Ajay Maken

Udaipur: Congress General Secretary Ajay Maken on Friday expressed hope that the party culture of rewarding those who do nothing or allowing those doing a bad job going unpunished will change after Sunday.
Addressing the media here ahead of the Friday to Sunday Chintan Shivir, Maken said it has been seen in the Congress party that the one who does good work is not rewarded. Those office bearer who does bad work is not punished, he said that this will also be considered in this camp.
The party will be strengthened by bringing discipline in its order right from grassroot levels. The party's three-day Sankalp Shivir, which started in Udaipur will contemplate in-depth on nine points including one family one post and organizational structure.
Party's Rajasthan in-charge Ajay Maken, said Congress will take a decision on one family one ticket formula at the Nav Sankalp Shivir. He ruled the fact that the organizational structure of the oldest party on the country has not changed with the passage of time. During this camp the revamp will be deliberated throughout right from the smallest unit of the party at the booth-level to the block unit to top post. Special brainstorming will be done on the formation of 15 to 20 divisional units (mandals) under a booth, then block committee will be formed.
Maken said surveys have been conducted by the Congress party at the time of elections, but in this camp it will be decided that there should be a public department of the Congress, not only at the time of elections, but such surveys should be done continuously and in fast changing times.
He said that it has been seen in the Congress party that the one who does good work is not rewarded and the office bearer who does bad work is not punished.
He said that this will also be considered in this camp. He said that how the party can be strengthened by bringing discipline in the party will also be discussed.
Maken said that it will also be decided in Nav Sankalp Shivir that youth should be ensured 50 percent participation in political and organizational at every level.
