“Constitution allows looting of people”: Demands for Kerala Minister Saji Cheriyan's resignation over anti-constitution remarks

Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly VD Satheesan on Tuesday demanded the immediate resignation of State Fisheries and Culture Minister Saji Cheriyan for his comments against the Constitution.
Talking to newspersons, the Opposition leader said the anti-Constitution remarks will be raised in the State Assembly.
Meanwhile, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President K Sudhakaran demanded the resignation of the Minister.
"The Chief Minister should ask the resignation of the Minister who violated the oath. If the Minister fails to submit his resignation, the Congress party will stage protest demanding his resignation," he said.
BJP State President K Surendran also demanded the resignation of the Minister who violated the laws of the land.
While attending a programme at Mallappally in Pathanamthitta on Monday, Saji Cheriyan said "Indian Constitution allows looting of people and exploration of labourers."
Further insulting the Constitution, he said Indians wrote the Constitution that was dictated by the British. (UNI)
