Mumbai: A 27-year-old daughter of an IAS officers couple committed suicide by jumping off a Mumbai high-rise in the early hours of Monday, Police said.
Lipi Rastogi, the daughter of Maharashtra cadre IAS officers Radhika and Vikas Rastogi, was taken to hospital but died during treatment.
According to reports Lipi, a law student, jumped from the 10th floor of a building near Mantralaya, the state secretariat in south Mumbai at around 4 AM.
According to police, Lipi was studying law in Sonepat, Haryana and was believed to be anxious about her exams.
A note was found in her room.
While Vikas Rastogi is the Principal Secretary of the Education Department, Radhika Rastogi is the Principal Secretary of the state's Home Department.
