New Delhi:Air quality in the national capital deteriorated post Diwali celebrations on Monday with air quality falling to 'very poor' category.The average index value on Monday afternoon was 353 at around 1400 hours , according to the Central Pollution Control Board.
Places in the city with maximum polluted air were areas in West Delhi and other areas towards north west Delhi.Despite the government urging people to not burst crackers this Diwali , though the count was not as high , but. people still went ahead with bursting crackers.The morning witnessed by Delhiites was a bit hazy , while city hoppers on being asked did complain of itchy eyes.(UNI)
