Ex-JNU student Umar Khalid arrested for alleged role in Delhi riots

New Delhi:Former Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student leader Umar Khalid has been arrested for alleged role in the North-East Delhi riots that broke out in February this year.
As per sources, he has been arrested under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) for the alleged role in instigating the riots.
 
The arrest took place on Sunday after he was called for questioning in connection with the North-East Delhi riots case, where he was later arrested formally.(UNI)
