New Delhi: Dense fog continued to shroud Delhi and NCR on Tuesday morning, affecting road rail and air traffic here as the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.7 degrees C.Around 69 trains were delayed , 25 cancelled ,24 rescheduled , while 20 flights were also delayed due to poor visibility here.However, there was a little improvement in the visibility later, but it did not help the traffic much that moved at a slow pace.
The air quality continued to remain remain 'very poor' in the city with the index value of 390, as per the Central Pollution Control Board.Relative humidity at 0830 hours was 100 per cent, the weatherman said.The sky is to be clear during the day with possibility of shallow fog at some places, according to the Met official.The maximum temperature in the day is to hover around 21 degrees C , the Met official said.On Monday, the maximum temperature settled at 20.1 degrees C, a notch above normal for the season.(UNI)
