New Delhi: French President Emmanuel Macron will kick off his two-day visit from Jaipur and will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday.
As per the Ministry of External Affairs, the French President's aircraft is scheduled to land at Jaipur airport at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
He will be received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and both leaders will tour the pink city together.
French President Macron will "tour Amber Fort and interact with artisans, stakeholders in Indo-French cultural projects, as well as students. Thereafter, he will be received by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and the two leaders will visit a few landmarks of the Pink City together, including Jantar Mantar," an official statement said.
During his six-hour stay in Jaipur, Macron will join Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a roadshow before the two leaders hold bilateral talks at Taj Rambagh Palace.
The roadshow is scheduled to start in the Jantar Mantar area at 6 p.m. Following this, the two leaders will also hold a bilateral dialogue.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs, he will depart for Delhi at around 8:50 p.m.
Macron will be the chief guest at the 75th Republic Day celebrations on January 26 in the national capital, Delhi, at the invitation of PM Modi.
The contingents from France include a 33-member band and a 95-member marching contingent, which will take part in the Republic Day parade.
Rafale fighter jets and an Airbus A330 multi-role tanker transport aircraft of the French Air Force will also participate in the march.
The French President will also meet President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhawan at around 7:10 p.m. on Thursday.
