Gujarat: 45-year-old bridge collapses in Vadodara, 4 vehicles plunges into river; 3 killed (VIDEO)

Vadodara: At least three people were killed and four others injured after a bridge over Mahisagar river collapsed in Gujarat's Vadodara district on Wednesday, police said.

A portion of the Gambhira bridge connecting Vadodara-Anand suddenly collapsed this morning, causing four vehicles passing through it to fall into the river, police inspector Vijay Charan said.

So far, bodies of three persons have been fished out of the river and four others have been rescued. The identities of the deceased are yet to be ascertained.

The police have reached the spot and started taking necessary action.
