Panchkula: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was unanimously elected as the leader of BJP's legislature party on Wednesday, Central observer and Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced after the meeting of newly elected MLAs.

Saini, after being elected as Legislature Party leader, thanked party leaders as well as people of the state for electing the BJP government, for third time in a row in Haryana.

The CM also said that as he had promised that he will take oath only after the filling of 24,000 vacancies, the result will be out on Thursday.

With the election of Saini as BJP legislature party leader, he and other Ministers will be sworn-in at Dussehra Maidan in Panchkula tomorrow in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as well as scores of Union Ministers and Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states.

The saffron party, proving wrong to all the poll Pundits, won 48 seats in 90-member assembly in the recently-concluded election and dashed all the hopes of opposition Congress to return to power in the state after 10 years.
