Hizbul Chief Syed Salahuddin’s son arrested

New Delhi: In a major development in its ongoing probe in the terror-funding cases, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin’s son Syed Shahid Yusuf . 'Yusuf was arrested in Delhi after he was called for questioning at the NIA headquarters in an old case of terror funding registered in 2011,' an official said.
 

According to official sources, investigation has revealed that one of the accused, Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, based in Syria, had allegedly transferred money to Yusuf at Syed Salahuddin’s behest between 2011 and 2014. Salahuddin is based in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Yusuf, an employee of the agriculture department of Jammu & Kashmir government, was allegedly involved in a terror funding case. (UNI)
