Washington: Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday said that he never hate Prime Minister Narendra Modi but disagreed with his views and perspective.

Speaking at the Georgetown University here, Gandhi said, “I don't hate Modi. He has a point of view; I don't agree with the point of view, but I don't hate him. He has a different perspective, and I have a different perspective”.

The former Congress president also said that after the general election many things have changed event the ‘56 inch chest and the direct connection with god’ is now a history.

“I see it in Parliament. I see the Prime Minister right up front, and I can tell you that the idea of Modi—56-inch chest, direct connection with God—that’s all gone. It’s history now. He realises it. India realises it. His partners in government realise it. The three or four senior ministers in his government realise it too,” Rahul said.

Speaking on the caste census issue, which the grand old party has been demanding for, the Rae Bareli MP said, “The caste census is now an unstoppable idea”.

“The critical question of whether 90 percent of our population is meaningfully represented in India’s institutional structure - economy, government, education - demands an answer. At its core, this is an issue of fairness and justice. Anything less than a comprehensive caste census, along with an economic and institutional survey is unacceptable,” Gandhi said.
