Kejriwal self-isolates; to undergo Covid-19 test on Tuesday

New Delhi:Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal isolated himself at his residence after showing symptoms of fever and soar throat, and will undergo Coronavirus test on Tuesday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh said on Monday.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Singh said, ''Chief Minister of Delhi @ArvindKejriwal Ji was complaining of fever and throat pain since June 7 afternoon. He has kept himself in isolation at home on the advice of doctors. Tomorrow, on June 9, he will have a coronavirus test. I pray to God to heal him soon."
The CM is also diabetic, he said.Mr Kejriwal has also cancelled all his meetings since Sunday afternoon, the sources said.
On Sunday, the CM addressed a digital press conference in which he announced the Delhi government's decision to make all Delhi government and private hospitals exclusive for residents of the capital, during the corona epidemic.Meanwhile, prayers started pouring in for his fast recovery.
Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal tweeted, ''Despite being severely diabetic, our CM @arvindkejriwal ji has led the corona battle from the front and has been constantly on the ground. Really hope & pray that his corona report is negative & he remains fit & healthy! His leadership is indispensable.''
Delhi BJP chief Adesh Kumar Gupta said, ''On getting information about Chief Minister @ArvindKejriwal Ji's illness, I just called him and asked for his well-being. I pray to God that he gets well soon.''
AICC national spokesperson Sharmistha Mukherjee said," Hope the test will come out negative. Wish @ArvindKejriwal ji a speedy recovery".
Dr Kumar Vishvas said,"Get well soon @ArvindKejriwal".India has recorded 2,56,611 cases and over 7000 deaths in the past 24 hrs due to COVID-19.(UNI)
