Kerala student is first confirmed case of Coronavirus in India

New Delhi: India on Thursday confirmed its first case of the deadly new strain of coronavirus on its soil with a student from Wuhan University testing positive, the Health Ministry said.
“One positive case of Novel Coronavirus patient, of a student studying in Wuhan University, has been reported in Kerala,” the ministry said in a statement.
“The patient has tested positive for Novel Coronavirus and is in isolation in the hospital. The patient is stable and is being closely monitored,” the ministry said.
According to reports, at least 10 people are at present in the isolation wards of various hospitals in Kerala. (UNI)
