Ranchi: A special CBI court on Wednesday awarded five-year imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 10-lakh on former Bihar CM and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Fodder Scam case no RC 68/96.The Court of Justice SS Prasad awarded the punishment to Mr Yadav under section 120B, 409, 420, 467,468, 471, and 477(A) and under the Prevention of Corruption Act section 13(2)read with 13(1)c &d.
There were a total of 56 accused in the case, out of which six have been acquitted and punishment has been announced for the rest 50.(UNI)
