Ranchi: The parole procedure of former Bihar chief minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav was completed today in the afternoon after which he left for Patna in the evening to attend the wedding of his elder son Tej Pratap Yadav, which is scheduled on May 12.
Mr Yadav had earlier applied for a parole of five days but was ultimately granted parole of three days. Yesterday also Mr Yadav was forced to cancel his ticket to Patna as the procedure of parole could not be completed. The RIMS medical board has also declared Mr Yadav fit to take the journey to Patna.
A large number of RJD supporters had gather outside RIMS and were also present at the airport to greet Mr Yadav. However, the Ranchi Police had made elaborate security arrangements at both the places and did not allow the supporters to get much closer. Party MLA Bhola Yadav also accompanied Mr Yadav back to Patna.(UNI)
