Maharashtra political crisis: Shiv Sena to challenge Governor directive for floor test

Mumbai: Shiv Sena spokesperson and senior leader Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said that, the MVA government of Maharashtra will challenge to state Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari's directive asking Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray to undergo a floor of test on June 30 to prove his majority.
Talking with media persons Raut said that the state Governor is doing this under pressure and it's is not correct to call a special assembly session to undergo the floor test.
Our legal team will approach the Supreme Court and we have confidence in the court, said Raut.
He said that the matter of disqualifying 16 Shiv Sena rebel MLAs is pending in the Supreme Court till July 11 then how can the governor call for a floor test.
Raut also alleged that the opposition leader Devendra Fadanvis is trying to destabilize the MVA state government ever since it was formed.
Raut also accused that the state governor of not approving MVA government's file to nominate 12 MLCs for the last two years and now within 24 hours he issued direction to the state government to prove its majority after Fadanvis's letter to him last night . (UNI)
