"The BJP and Sena would contest 135 seats each in 288 member house while 18 seats will be left for other allies including Republican Party of India-A, Rashtriya Samaj Party and Vinayak Mate led Shiv Sangram" Maharashtra revenue minister and BJP senior leader Chandrakant Patil confirmed here on Sunday.
Mr Patil was here to take stock of severe drought situation prevalent in the state.
Even after an impressive win in recent Lok Sabha election where BJP-SS was able grab 41 of the 48 seats, the saffron alliance has already started preparing for the upcoming assembly elections, Mr Patil said.
