A 35-year-old man hanged himself and committed suicide allegedly after killing his wife and two minor daughters in the Achalganj area of Unnao district here in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Monday.Superintendent of Police (SP) Deepak Bhukar said that at around 7 am the Achalganj police station received information that Amit (35), a resident of Sahab Kheda village, had committed suicide by hanging himself at his home.
"When the police reached the spot, the bodies of Amit's wife Geeta (30) and two daughters aged around 10 and 6 years were found in a room of the house. No visible injury marks were found on the bodies of the deceased," he said.
He said that prima facie, it appears that Amit killed his wife and two daughters and then committed suicide by hanging himself. "According to the neighbours, Amit lived with his family, wife and two daughters. He was upset for a long time," he said.
The SP said that the deceased's brother said that he was mentally upset for some time and was struggling with domestic problems. He said that a case has been registered and an investigation has been started. At first glance the matter seems to be related to family tension.(UNI)
