"The current 'crisis' in Manipur is the result of the 'divisive politics' of BJP in the state. It also the result of the intelligence failure of the state government," Congress general secretary in-charge Communications Jairam Ramesh told reporters here, as he apprised that a delegation of the party led by its chief Mallikarjun Kharge met President Droupadi Murmu and submitted a memorandum to her on Manipur situation.
The delegation which met the President here on Tuesday, included former Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and state Congress president K Meghachandra and in-charge Bhakta Charan Das, and senior party leader KC Venugopal. They urged the President for her intervention in the Manipur situation.

He also informed that the Congress unit of Manipur has sought time from Home Minister Amit Shah, who is currently in Imphal, to meet him on Wednesday and apprise him about the situation in the state.
"It has never happened in the history of Manipur. I don't know what is the 'hidden agenda' of both the state government as well as Narendra Modi-led government. We have submitted a memorandum to President, urging her to save Manipur," the former CM, who was also present, said.
"Where is 'Sabka saath, sabka vikas' ?Why is the PM silent ?," Meghachandra questioned while taking a swipe at the PM.
