ED seals Delhi farmhouse of Misa Bharti, daughter of Lalu

New Delhi: The Enforcement Directorate today sealed the south Delhi farmhouse of former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav's daughter and Rajya Sabha MP Misa Bharti, in connection with a money laundering case.According to ED officials, the searches were conducted by them under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA).
The property, situated at Bijwasan in Palam area of the national capital, was registered in the name of Mishail Packers and Printers, a company owned by Ms Bharti and her husband Shailesh Kumar, they said, adding that it was brought for Rs 1.2 crore in 2008-09 through Hawala money. The ED had earlier conducted searches at three farmhouses, allegedly belonging to Mishail Packers and Printers.
