Neha murder case: DNA results within 3 months, justice thereafter: KWC Chairperson

Hubballi: Karnataka Women Commission (KWC) Chairperson Naglakshmi Choudhary, has voiced optimism regarding the ongoing investigation into the murder of Neha Hiremath in Hubballi.
 
Assuring that the investigation has been conducted meticulously, Nagalaksmi mentioned that DNA tests on the collected blood samples are underway and expressed hope for a resolution soon. "Once the DNA results are available, which is expected within three months, we anticipate that Neha will receive justice," she told reporters here.
 
The murder case has garnered significant attention, sparking public outcry and demands for a swift, thorough, and fair legal process. The accused individual remains in judicial custody, awaiting trial, as the investigation progresses.
 
The KWC Chairperson further said both the government and police are committed to ensuring that the accused in Neha's murder face appropriate punishment.
 
She also highlighted the emotional toll the incident has taken on Neha's parents, saying, "Neha's parents are in a very bad state. Their primary request is for swift justice and that the accused receive the death sentence."
 
Nagalakshmi further urged the public and media to refrain from defaming Neha or using her tragic death for personal gains or political purposes. "Accusing a woman without proper evidence is not only unjust but also a punishable offense," she added.
 
The case has sparked public outcry, with many demanding justice for Neha and stricter measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
