8 JMB terrorists awarded imprisonment in Bodh Gaya Temple blast case

New Delhi: National Investigation Agency (NIA) Special Court Patna sentenced eight convicted JMB men in connection with recovery and explosion of IED at Bodh Gaya in Bihar.

NIA, in a statement, said that three accused, Paigambar Sheikh, Ahmad Al and Nur Alam, have been awarded life imprisonment while five accused, Adil Sheikh, Dilwar Hossain, Abdul Karim alias Korim, Mustafizur Rahman alias Shaheen, and Arif Hussain, have been awarded ten years Rigorous Imprisonment

According to NIA, a case was registered on February 3, 2018, pertaining to planting of three IEDs in and around the premises of Bodh Gaya temple complex. After investigation, a charge sheet was filed against 3 accused on September 27, 2018, and supplementary charge sheet was filed on January 28, 2019, against remaining six accused.Further the trial against one accused is still going on.(UNI)
