Hisar: Hisar police has cautioned media (electronic, print and social media) to observe restraint while reporting on the case and not to report on the basis of sources/fiction, but print/circulate any news only after confirming from official sources.

A press note by the Superintendent of Police said that the investigation was in relation to National Security.

The statement said that a lot of false news and rumours were being reported in the media, which could not only affect the investigation but also National Security.

The police have also stated that the purported diary of the accused, some pages being displayed by the media, was not in possession of the police.

The police have made it clear that four Bank accounts of the accused were being analysed but no comment could be made about any transaction of money.

The police have stated that the accused was in contact with Pakistani Intelligence Officers but no fact has come to light which could connect her to any terrorist organisation or her involvement in any terror activity. Also, there was no fact to support the rumour of her plans to convert or marry a Pakistani Intelligence Officer.

Meanwhile, a Hisar court on Thursday extended the police custody of Jyoti Malhotra, who was arrested on charges of spying for Pakistan, for four more days.
