New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited suggestions from the public for topics to be included in his Independence Day address from the ramparts of the Red Fort.
In a social media post on Friday, the Prime Minister said he is keen to hear directly from the people of India. “As our Independence Day approaches this year, I look forward to hearing from my fellow Indians,” he wrote.
Modi asked citizens to share their thoughts and ideas on what themes or issues should be reflected in his upcoming speech. “What themes or ideas would you like to see reflected in this year’s Independence Day speech? Share your thoughts on the Open Forums on MyGov and the NaMo App,” he urged.
Preparations are underway across the country to mark the 78th anniversary of Independence. The main event will take place at the Red Fort in New Delhi, where the Prime Minister will receive the ceremonial salute from the armed forces before hoisting the national flag and addressing the nation.
