PM Modi visits Patna Sahib, cooks and serves langar (PICS)

Patna: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited Takhat Harimandirji Patna Sahib, the birthplace of the 10th Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh and took active part in cooking langar and distributing prasad.
 
Following his overnight stay at the Raj Bhawan after his Sunday roadshow in Patna on Sunday, the prime minister visited the patna Sahib gurdwara wearing a saffron turban as the fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections got underway in 10 states, including Bihar and one UT.
 
PM Modi bowed before the sacred Guru Granth Sahib in the sanctum sanctorum of Takhat. He was offered prasad and later the prime minister also interacted with people present in the holy premises.

 
The Prime Minister also cooked food for the Langar and served among the devotees. He also tasted the food as "prasad" being served to devotees in langar.

 
Modi had visited Patna in January 2017 to participate in "Prakash Parv" celebrated with much fanfare on 350th birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh. A large number of devotees from all parts of the country and also from across the globe had participated in the event.
