PM,Prez, VP greets people on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi

New Delhi:Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu has extended his wishes to the people on the eve of Ganesh Chaturthi and hoped that the festival brings "peace, harmony and prosperity in our country".
In a message on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, he noted that Lord Ganesha is revered as an embodiment of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. "We invoke Lord Ganesha and seek his blessings to remove obstacles in our path before we begin anything new."
  
Though huge processions and gatherings are the hallmark of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, this year, he urged worshippers to strive to tone down the celebrations in view of the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. "I urge fellow citizens to strictly adhere to Covid-19 physical distancing protocols and maintain good hygiene while celebrating the festival."

New Delhi:President Ram Nath Kovind has extended warm greetings to the people on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.
 
Urging the followers to pledge to strengthen the mutual harmony, fraternity and unity among all citizens of the country, he said in his message "the festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, is an expression of people's enthusiasm, joy and forbearance in taking every section of the society along on this occasion.''
 
However, as the world was facing the challenges posed by Covid-19 pandemic, he prayed that Lord Ganesha "bless us all to overcome this pandemic at the earliest possible and we all live a happy and healthy life."
 
PM Modi greets people on Ganesh Chaturthi
 
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday greeted people on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. 
 
''Greetings on the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. May the blessings of Bhagwan Shri Ganesh always be upon us. May there be joy and prosperity all over,'' PM said in a tweet.
 
Ganesh Chaturthi, also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi, is a Hindu festival celebrating the arrival of Ganesh to earth from Kailash Parvat with his mother Goddess Parvati/Gauri. The festival is marked with the installation of Ganesh clay idols privately in homes, or publicly on elaborate pandals.(UNI)
