PM reaches Ayodhya: leaves for Hanumangarhi temple

Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi landed  here on Wednesday to lay the foundation of the grand Ram temple and attend the Bhoomi pujan.
At the helipad, the PM was greeted by Uttar Pradesh  Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath along with Trust members and officials.From the helipad, the PM, along with UP Governor and Chief Minister, left for Hanumangarhi temple where, he will worship Lord Hanuman.
 
Hanumangarhi temple will gift a Mr Modi headgear, a silver crown and a stole with the name of Lord Ram printed on it, said Sri Gaddinsheen Premdas Ji Maharaj, head priest of the  temple. 
 
The PM will go to Shree Ram Janmabhoomi thereafter  where he will take part in pooja of 'Bhagwan Shree Ramlala Virajman'. He  will also plant a Parijat (Indian night jasmine) sapling and will subsequently perform 'bhoomi poojan' . Mr Modi will unveil a plaque to mark the laying of foundation stone and also release a commemorative postage stamp on the 'Shree Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir'.
 
 This would be the first time that any PM is visiting Hanumangarhi temple or at the Ram Lalla temple in Ayodhya. Mr Modi will be visiting the temples after a gap of 29 years. He visited these temples in 1991 when he was the BJP general secretary.(UNI)
