Lucknow: Noted poet Munawwar Rana has again created a controversy by stating that if Yogi Adityanath becomes the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh once again because of Asaduddin Owaisi, he will leave this state.
Mr Rana, while talking to a private news channel here on Saturday, alleged that Owaisi and BJP as two sides of the same coin. "They say that both of them fight with each other to show the world but in reality Owaisi polarizes votes in such a way that it benefits BJP," the poet alleged.
Munawwar Rana says that if the Muslims of UP fall in the trap of Owaisi and vote for AIMIM, then no one will be able to stop Yogi Adityanath from becoming the Chief Minister again. "If Yogi becomes the Chief Minister again, then I will assume that the the state is no longer fit for Muslims to live in," he stated.
He further alleged that "the way Muslim boys are being caught with pressure cookers and being implicated to be associated with Al Qaeda, I am afraid that ATS may pick me up tomorrow as a terrorist. I also keep going to Pakistan in Mushairas".
When Munawwar Rana was asked why eight children are born to Muslims which forced the UP government to bring the Population control law, he answered, "Muslim have eight children so that even if the police pick up two children as terrorists and two children die of corona, then four children would be present in their house who can take the parents to the grave."
Meanwhile, reacting sharply on the statement of Munawwar Rana, UP Panchayat Raj Minister Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said ,"Munawar Rana's statement is a political statement and he is making this statement motivated by politics."
"UP is completely safe and strict action is being taken against the criminals here," he added.
