TRAGIC! Sevadar falls into boiling potato vessel in Langar Hall of Golden Temple; suffers 70 percent burns

Chandigarh: A Sevadar (staffer) fell into a pot in which potatoes were being boiled at the Langar (kitchen) hall of the Golden Temple, Amritsar sources said on Saturday.

The staffer, Balbir Singh, originally a resident of Dhaliwal, Gurdaspur, has been serving here for around 10 years. He has been admitted to Guru Ramdas Hospital with 70 percent burns.

According to his colleagues, he was cleaning the floor when he slipped and fell into the pot.
