New Delhi: The Congress on Saturday shared a montage video of its leader Rahul Gandhi, amid the party leading in Karnataka and called him "unstoppable".

In the 50-seconds video shared by the party on social media, there are various clips of Rahul along with people from different sections, who had joined him during his 'Bharat Jodo Yatra'. The video has the background music of song 'Unstoppable' by Sia.

Referring to Rahul, the Congress captioned video as "I'm invincible, I'm so confident, Yeah, I'm unstoppable today".

The Yatra-led by the former party president which had started from Tamil Nadu's Kanyakumari on September last year, traversed through several states including Karnataka and concluded in Jammu and Kashmir in January.

The Congress had said the Yatra was its "most decisive mass contact programme".

According to the Election Commission till 1200 hours, out of the 224 Assembly seats, Congress is leading in 121 seats, followed by BJP 72 and Janata Dal (Secular) 24.

Meanwhile, Congress general secretary in-charge Communications Jairam Ramesh in a tweet wrote, "As the results firm up in Karnataka it is now certain that the Congress has won and the PM has lost. The BJP had made its election campaign a referendum on the PM and on the state getting his 'ashirwaad'. That has been decisively rejected."

Taking a swipe at the PM, the MP said , "The PM injected 'divisiveness' and attempted 'polarisation'. The vote in Karnataka is for an engine in Bengaluru that will combine economic growth with social harmony."

He said the Congress party fought the Karnataka elections on local issues of livelihood and food security, price rise, farmer distress, electricity supply, joblessness, and corruption.

Celebrations began at the Congress headquarters here , with party workers gathering outside after the counting trends indicating the party's victory in Karnataka. (UNI)
