Mumbai:Republic TV chief editor Arnab Goswami and his wife were allegedly attacked by two-motorcycle-borne men when they were returning home from work late last night, police said here on Thursday. Two people have been arrested in this regard.
Goswami was under fire over his remarks aimed at Sonia Gandhi during a discussion on Palghar incident in which three people, including two sadhus, were lynched to death. The Congress has sought legal action against him.
Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar has condemned the incident. "We condemn the attack on Arnab Goswami. Attacking any journalist is very unfortunate and condemnable," the Minister said. It is not a sign of democracy. Police is taking action on this,'' he said .(UNI)
