In a remarkable reunion, a Jharkhand family has found their lost member after an astonishing 27 years. The family had been searching for him since he went missing in 1998.
The family claimed to have found Gangasagar Yadav, now living as a 65-year-old 'Aghori' monk under the name Baba Rajkumar.
Gangasagar had gone missing after travelling to Patna in 1998. His wife, Dhanwa Devi, was left to raise their two sons alone.
His family stumbled upon him at the ongoing Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. A relative attending the Mela recognized a man resembling Gangasagar, took his photo, and sent it to the family. They immediately rushed to the Mela, hoping to bring him back.
However, upon meeting Baba Rajkumar, he denied any connection to his past life, claiming to be a Sadhu from Varanasi. Despite this, the family remains convinced that the man is indeed Gangasagar, citing distinctive features such as his long teeth, a forehead injury, and a knee scar.
The family has informed the Kumbh Mela police and is demanding a DNA test to confirm Baba Rajkumar's true identity. They're willing to wait until the end of the Mela and even issue an apology if the test doesn't match. If the test confirms their claims, they're prepared to pursue legal steps to establish Gangasagar's identity.
