Bengaluru: On Wednesday, spiritual leader Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev urged India to take immediate action in response to the atrocities being committed against Hindus in Bangladesh.

His remarks have sparked widespread discussion and concern about the safety of minority communities in the neighboring country.

Taking to X, Sadhguru highlighted the alarming situation faced by Hindus in Bangladesh.

He stated, "The atrocities being perpetrated against Hindus are not just an internal matter of Bangladesh. Bharat cannot be Maha-Bharat if we do not stand up and act at the earliest to ensure the safety of minorities in our neighbourhood."

Sadhguru's comments follow reports of attacks on the homes and businesses of Hindus in Bangladesh amid the political turmoil following the ouster of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He emphasised that protecting these communities is not just a diplomatic issue but also a moral and civilizational responsibility for India.

He also drew attention to the deep cultural and historical ties between India and the minorities in Bangladesh.

"What was part of this Nation unfortunately became neighborhood, but it is our responsibility to protect these people—who actually belong to this Civilization—from these shocking atrocities," Sadhguru remarked.

As the situation continues to develop, there is increasing pressure on the Indian government to address these concerns and take action.
