Ayodhya: Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam on Monday urged the Opposition 'not to oppose Lord Ram, but oppose a political party because it can be defeated, not Lord Ram'.
 
"Those people who are opposing, I want to tell them this that they should oppose a political party, not Lord Ram. One can defeat a political party but cannot defeat Lord Ram, Sanatan Dharma and Bharat. And Lord Ram is India's soul," he told reporters here.

 
Talking about the political controversy over the ceremony, Union Minister Ramdas Athawale denied it to be a BJP event and appealed to the people to boycott them in the upcoming election.
 
"If this was a BJP agenda, the Opposition leaders would not have been given an invitation ... This is not a BJP event. Opposition should have come here. But they boycotted it, I appeal to the people to boycott them in the upcoming election," he said.

 
Actor Nitish Bharadwaj, who essayed the role of Lord Krishna in the television series Mahabharat, says it is a good fortune that he is attending the Consecration Ceremony, and this comes after the killing of karsevaks during the rule of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

Nobel Peace Laureate and activist Kailash Satyarthi said the message of Ayodhya is that the world becomes free of violence and war. "That is our responsibility," he said.

 
Ram Lalla's idol sculptor, Arun Yogiraj, said he was the luckiest person on the earth and felt he is in a dream world.
 
"I feel I am the luckiest person on the earth now. The blessing of my ancestors, family members and Lord Ram Lalla has always been with me. Sometimes I feel like I am in a dream world...," he said.

 
Isha Ambani and her husband Anand Piramal also arrived at the temple. "Today is one of the most sacred days for us, and we are just overjoyed to be here, Isha said.

 
Anand Piramal said, "Jai Sri Ram."

Actor Ram Charan says, "...Fantastic, it was so beautiful. Once in a lifetime. It's an honour for everybody to witness this, to be born in our India and witness this. This is truly a blessing."


 
Singer Jubin Nautiyal says, "I could see such energy, such self-confidence and so much love for Lord Ram. My mind is at peace, soul satisfied..."


 
Actor Vivek Oberoi says, "Lord Ram got me emotional. His (Ram Lalla) form is beautiful. The sculpting is so good. I feel that the Lord Ram actually came within the sculpture...I was very emotional and I sought blessings for everyone in the family..."
