Southwest Monsoon active over some North-Eastern states

Pune:The Southwest Monsoon has been active over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Konkan, Goa and Rayalaseema, said the Indian Meteorological Department here today.
It was weak over Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh.
 
Thunderstorm had occurred at isolated quarters over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Uttarakhand, west Rajasthan, Saurashtra, Kutch, east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during past 24 hours.
 
Rain or thundershowers had pounded most divisions in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Konkan, Goa, coastal & north Interior Karnataka and Kerala during the period.
They had battered many locales in Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalseema and south Interior Karnataka during the period.
 
They had lashed a few segments in Bihar, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the period.
Isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, east & west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh also received rain during the period.Dry weather prevailed in Lakshadweep during the period.(UNI)
