UP’s Ram Temple tableau, which won first prize in R-Day parade, vandalised

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh’s tableau on Ram Temple was adjudged the best tableau displayed during the Republic Day parade at Rajpath in New Delhi this year.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the people of the state on receiving first prize for the tableau and said that this is a moment of great pride and ecstasy.
Praising the spiritual demonstration of the Temple, CM said that wherever the tableau will go, people will show their gratitude and enthusiasm by offering flowers.
The CM said that construction of the temple of Lord Rama at Ayodhya marks the victory of faith as a result of hundreds of years of struggle and sacrifice of many devotees.
For the first time, the tableau will be taken from Delhi to Lucknow passing through various districts of the state. The people will be able to have a close look of the tableau amidst chanting of Jai Shri Ram and showering of flower petals.
Director Information and Public Relations, Shishir, said here on Thursday that this achievement is the result of the teamwork and combined efforts of the government and the people of the state. He also showed special gratitude towards the lyricist Virendra Singh, whose song gained maximum appreciation by the jury.
ACS, Information, Navneet Sehgal said that the tableau has displayed a glimpse of Ram Temple’s rich heritage and culture. “The portrayal of Ram Temple at such a huge occasion is a matter of pride and immense happiness. Our tableau showcased the ancient heritage of the temple town, revered by countless people across the country,” he said.
Ayodhya tableau also included snapshots of ‘Deepotsav’ depicted through earthen lamps and various stories from Ramayana epic along with a giant statue of sage Valmiki, Other murals depicting Nishadraj embracing Lord Rama, Ahalya’s salvation, Hanuman bringing Sanjeevani booti, Jatayu-Rama dialogue, Ashoka Vatika of Lanka King were also brought alive in the tableau.
The tableau was prepared under the supervision of Vivid Company and the artists of Mathura led by Sanjay Sharma.
However, the tableau has been vandalised allegedly by miscreants in Delhi where it was stationed after the parade. official sources said due to the damage, it will take time to transport the tableau back to Lucknow. (UNI)
