Two arrested in the rape and murder of 3 year old girl in Aligarh after the outrage

Aligarh:The horrific murder of a two-year-old girl in Tappal area of Aligarh has drawn condemnations from political leaders, Bollywood celebrities and sports fraternity.Bollywood celebrities took to social media and expressed their anger and sadness over the incident.
Congress general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh East, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra posted on Twitter," The brutal murder in Aligarh is yet another inhuman, unspeakable crime against an innocent child. I cannot even begin to imagine the pain her parents must feel. What has become of us?".
Cricketer Virendra Sehwag in his tweet said ," Extremely disturbed and heatbroken to know about Twinkle, a 2 and a half year old who was raped and killed in the most horrific way in Tappal near Aligarh. She deserves justice ."
Pained by the incident, Bollywood actor Twinkle Khanna in her tweet said," It is heartbreaking to hear about the horrific murder of the two and a half year old little girl In Aligarh. I would request @smritiirani to ensure that swift action is taken against the perpetrators of this heinous crime. #JusticeForTwinkle."
Abhishek Bacchan in his tweet said,"Just so disgusted and angered hearing about #TwinkleSharma. How can somebody even think of doing such a thing?!?! Speechless?."
Bollywood actors, including Ayushman Khurrana, Sidharth Malhotra , Arjun Kapoor and Ravina Tandon, have also expressed their anguish over the gruesome murder.
According to the police, the victim went missing on May 30 and her mutliated body was recovered just 100 meters away from her house on June 2. The body of the girl was found wrapped in a cloth but post-mortem reports did not confirm rape.The father of the girl had alleged that one Zahid, from whom he had taken Rs 5,000 loan, was behind the incident.
Later, police arrested Zahid and one Aslam, neighbour of the victim on June 4. Both of them confessed to have committed the crime.On Thursday, the family and relatives of the the victim blocked roads in protest and were pacified by senior police officials.
Authorities have suspended five policemen, including inspector of the Tappal police station in connection with the incident. The suspended policemen are inspector Kushapal Singh Chahal, Sub-inspectors Satyaveer Singh, Arvind Kumar and Shamim Ahmed and constable Rahul Yadav.(UNI)
