Etah (UP): Three people died and two were injured when a car in a bid to overtake collided with a tractor-trolley in the Rijor area of Etah district here in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, a senior official said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), some persons from Shikohabad in Firozabad district had gone to Soron in Kasganj district for Ganga Snan on the occasion of Ganga Dussehra on Saturday night.
"They reached Soron around 3 am and left the place at around 6 am after taking a dip in the Ganga river," he said.
He said on Shikohabad Road, the car, in a bid to overtake another vehicle, collided with the tractor-trolley.
"Three car passengers identified as Sarala Devi, Pinky, and Girish were killed in the accident," he said.
The SSP said Govind and Daya Kumari were injured in the incident and have been admitted to the Etah Medical College.
"The victims are relatives from Sirsaganj, Sikohabad and Agra," he said.
