Uttar Pradesh shocker: 26-year old woman commits suicide after poisoning two minor sons in Hamirpur

Hamirpur (UP): A 26-year-old woman allegedly consumed poisonous substance along with her two minor sons following a family dispute in the Muskara area of Hamirpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, police sources said here.

Police sources said that around 10 years back Mohini, a resident of Bandwa village, eloped with Hemendra, a resident of Rath, and married him. "Around 2 years back the couple had a dispute after which Mohini started living in Noida," they said.

Police sources said that around a week back Mohini returned to her native village with her two sons during which he had a dispute with her brother Golu. "On Saturday Mohini consumed some poisonous substance after administering the same to her two sons Gautam (5) and Harsh (3)".

Police sources said by the time villagers came to know about the incident Mohini and Gautam were already dead. "Harsh, who was in a serious condition died while being taken to the district hospital".

Police sources said that further action will be taken once the autopsy report is received.
