Amid ongoing controversy over hijab in Karnataka, a video of a group of Muslim woman riding two wheelers while wearing Burkha has gone viral on the social media.
Instagram handle 'Khan Sisters' has shared the video and it is said to be recorded on the VIP road of the capital city of Bhopal of Madhya Pradesh.
In the viral video, four women wearing burkha can been riding bullet and sports bike on the street. While women riding the bike were showing victory signs, one woman riding pillion on the sports bike was seen giving a flying kiss in the viral video.
As soon as the video went viral, MP BJP spokesperson Umesh Sharma called it orgainised “propaganda”. Sharing the video Sharma wrote: “Organized "Propaganda" in the capital in the name of Hijab – Playing football wearing a hijab is fine but riding motorcycle without helmet? MLA Arif Masood says hijab is for the safety of our girls, then why this "flying kiss"?
Narendra Saluja, State Spokesperson, Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, commented: “In this video, the number plate of the vehicle which the girls were riding is painted in the BJP color. Is this BJP sponsored….? BJP can do anything for its political gains. BJP should answer, who are these girls…?”
