Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and ITBP Director General Sujoy Lal Thaospen on Wednesday offered wreaths here to the seven ITBP personnel who died in an accident in Anantnag district.

LG Sinha also lend a shoulder to the mortal remains of ITBP jawans after the wreath-laying ceremony.

The seven died and 34 others were injured when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Chandanwari Pahalgam in Anantnag on Tuesday.

The injured have been admitted to the Army hospital in Srinagar where the condition of some of them is said to be critical. Four critically injured have been shifted to the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Science for specialized treatment. (Inputs from agencies)
