New Delhi:Mr Amit Shah was on Friday allocated the Home Ministry while Rajnath Singh was made Defence Minister and Nirmala Sitharaman has been given the plum portfolio of Finance and Corporate affairs ministry.
''The President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has directed the allocation of portfolios among the  members of the Union Council of Ministers,''a Rashtrapati Bhawan communique said.
 
Nitin Gadkari has been allocated the ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises while Ramvilas Paswan has been made Minister  of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
 
Smriti Zubin Irani has been made Minister of Women and Child Development and Minister of Textiles while Piyush Goyal has been made Minister of Railways and Commerce and Industry.Former Foreign secretary S Jaishankar has been made Minister for External affairs.
 
Dr Harsh Vardhan has been allocated  Health and Family Welfare and Science and Technology and Earth Sciences ministry while  Prakash Javadekar has been made Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change; and Minister of Information and Broadcasting and Dharmendra Pradhan the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Minister of Steel.(UNI)
 
 
Rijiju gets MoS Independent charge of Youth Affairs, Anurag Thakur to be MoS Finance
BJP's north east face Kiren Rijiju, who was Minister of State in Home Ministry in the outgoing regime, has been made MoS Independence charge of the portfolio of Youth Affairs and Sports.
 
According to a communique from Rashtrapati Bhavan, Mr Rijiju will also be the junior minister in the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
 
Hamirpur lawmaker from Himachal Pradesh and former BJP youth wing chief Anurag Singh Thakur will be the new Minister of State in the Ministry of Finance and in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
 
Prahalad Singh Patel will be new Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Tourism.Santosh Kumar Gangwar will be Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
 
According to portfolios allocated on Friday, Rao Inderjit Singh will be Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation; and Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Planning.
 
Shripad Yesso Naik will be the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH); and also Minister of State in the Ministry of Defence.
 
Jitendra Singh, the lawmaker from Jammu and Kashmir, is the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region; Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office; Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions; Minister of State in the Department of Atomic Energy; and Minister of State in the Department of Space.
 
Former civil servant Raj Kumar Singh will continue to be the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Power and also MoS (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
 
Retired foreign service official, Hardeep Singh Puri will be the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and also Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Civil Aviation; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
 
Mansukh L Mandaviya Minister of State will be MoS Independent Charge of the Ministry of Shipping; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.
Among the Ministers of State, Faggansingh Kulaste will be the junior minister in the Ministry of Steel. 
 
Elected MP from Bihar, Ashwini Kumar Choubey will continue to be the Minister of State in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
 
The Bikaner MP Arjun Ram Meghwal will be Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.
 
Former Army Chief General (Retd) V K Singh, who was MoS External Affairs, now moves as Minister of State in the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. 
 
Krishan Pal will be Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment while Danve Raosaheb Dadarao will be the Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.
 
G Kishan Reddy is the new Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs while lawmaker from Gujarat Parshottam Rupala will be Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare.
 
RPI leader Ramdas Athawale is the Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment while Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti Minister of State in the Ministry of Rural Development.
 
Asansol MP Babul Supriyo, who was junior minister in Heavy Industries Ministry, now moves as  Minister of State in the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change.
Sanjeev Kumar Balyan from Uttar Pradesh will be the Minister of State in the Ministry of Animal
Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries.
 
Dhotre Sanjay Shamrao will be Minister of State in the Ministry of Human Resource Development;Minister of State in the Ministry of Communications; and Minister of State in the Ministry ofElectronics and Information Technology.
 
Angadi Suresh Channabasappa is the new Minister of State in the Ministry of Railways and Bihar BJP chief Nityanand Rai will be the Minister of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Rattan Lal Kataria will be Minister of State in the Ministry of Jal Shakti; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.V Muraleedharan is the Minister of State in the Ministry of External Affairs; and Minister of State in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
 
Renuka Singh Sarutais the new Minister of State in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs and Som Parkash Minister of State in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
