Yeddyurappa sworn in as Karnataka cm, RaGa terms it mockery

Bengaluru:Bookanakere Siddalingappa Yeddyurappa was today sworn in
as the 24th Chief Minister of Karnataka.This is the third term as Chief Minister for Mr Yeddyurappa.  He was sworn in alone andis likely to expand the cabinet after proving his majority in the Assembly.
BJP making mockery of  Constitution in Karnataka: Rahul
 
New Delhi,  May 17 (UNI) Describing Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala's invitation to the BJP to form the government in Karnataka as 'the defeat of democracy', Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday said BJP's insistence on forming a government in Karnataka despite lacking the numbers was a  'mockery of  Constitution'.
 
Taking to twitter, Mr Gandhi said, ''The BJP's irrational insistence that it will form a Govt in Karnataka, even though it clearly doesn't have the numbers, is to make a mockery of our Constitution. This morning, while the BJP celebrates its hollow victory, India will mourn the defeat of democracy.''
 
Mr Vala on Wednesday night invited the BJP to form the government in Karnataka  despite the claims by the Congress and JD(S) that their coalition has the majority in the newly-constituted Assembly.
 
The Congress has termed the decision of the Governor as a 'murder of democracy'.It has charged the Governor with acting like a 'BJP puppet'.(UNI)
