5-6 Bombs hurled near BJP MP’s home in WB; 3 people sustain injuries

Barrackpore: At least three people sustained injuries, including a woman and a boy, when crude bombs were hurled in front of BJP MP Arjun Singh's residence at Ghosh Para under Barrackpore region of North 24 Parganas last night, police said on Thursday.
At least 5-6 crude bombs were hurled in front of Arjun Singh residence around 2000 hours on Wednesday night in which a middle man was also injured, police said, adding that the man, who was sleeping near the house of Singh on the road, was admitted to the hospital with bomb splinters wounds.
Mr Singh, who was not at home when the unidentified miscreants threw bombs, alleged its was the work of the TMC supported goons and the policemen were not taking any action despite repeated requests regarding the presence of trouble makers.
He said when he returned home around 2300 hrs another bomb exploded in the area.
“We are informing the police that criminals are roaming around with arms. The police are doing nothing. Bombs have been hurled at around 15 places and CCTV cameras installed by police have been broken by three people and their associates. Three persons suffered injuries, one has been admitted to hospital. The police are inactive. We will also complain to the Election Commission,” said Mr Singh, who also said such criminal acts happened in the 2019 parliament poll. (UNI)
